About the federation
The US Virgin Islands Chess Federation is the governing body for chess in the US Virgin Islands. We run the national championships, keep the ratings, train arbiters and select the teams that represent the US Virgin Islands abroad.
Our mission
To promote chess in the US Virgin Islands: scholastic chess, rated tournaments and players for international events.
The federation sanctions tournaments, publishes the rating list and selects national teams for the Chess Olympiad and youth events.
It is run by an elected council of volunteers. Clubs and schools affiliate to the federation, and players join as members.
